TeraCopy is a compact program designed to copy and move files at the maximum possible speed.

  • Shell integration. TeraCopy can completely replace Explorer copy and move functions, allowing you work with files as usual.
  • 64-bit OS support. Shell integration works in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of XP

Sins of a Solar Empire - Mini Expansion

Chances are, you are already done away with Sins of a Solar Empire. Released February this year, this PC RTS game has had very good success. Now Stardock has announced that the game is in line to receive at least three ‘micro-expansions.’ One of these is tagged ‘Entrenchment’ and will go on sale later this year at $9.95. This expansion pack will add stuff like: powerful defense platforms and turret upgrades for each race, mine fields, and a Subspace Inhibitor platform that has capability of slowing down ships. Other than Entrenchment, game’s developer Ironclad Games is also working on two more micro-expansion packs, one each for diplomacy features and new technologies and ships. The fact that we’ll get few more hours out of an already wonderful title is added to by the low price that the micro-expansions will be launched at. The reasoning behind small expansion packs is to allow gamers flexibility in choosing features that he’d like to add and thus pay for only what he likes. Needless to say we are completely onboard with that.

CHEATING Spouses Beware

Wellington, Aug 27 (ANI): Partners who're not where they are supposed to be could soon be watching their exploits live on a mobile phone, courtesy 'The Watch Anywhere Monitoring Camera'.

The revolutionary hardware, which resembles a computer webcam, is billed as an anti-theft system - but can also be used to catch wayward lovers and truant children.

Users simply install the device in the room they wish to monitor. If the motion sensor detects a disturbance, it sends a three-second video of the event to the owner's mobile phone.

"It allows you to call the police and report the intruder immediately. You can also use it to make sure the kids are home from school by 4.30 - or that they're not home at 1.30," The NZPA quoted Adrian Lawrence, manager of the Anywhere Group, as saying.

Users can also dial up to receive a photo at any time or listen live through the built-in microphone. The camera even has an infra-red mode to capture night-time shenanigans.

But civil liberties advocates fear such technology could be a godsend to peeping toms.

"What's to stop someone installing it in their bathroom and recording secret footage of their guests?" said Michael Pearce, SC, vice-president of the Victorian Council for Civil Liberties.

The Watch Anywhere Camera costs 495 Australian Dollars. (ANI)

Mortal Kombat and DC Universe

Mortal Kombat will never get old, and I thank God for that, as the new title will continue to provide all the things you need to take the stress and anger out on someone (within the game, of course). However, this time, you’ve got a choice of either being one of the Mortal Kombatants, or one of your favourite childhood super heroes from the DC Universe. The game, for now, has been announced for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 and is being developed with Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 3, which is simply fantastic. Also, it’s been reported that some of the powers and abilities of the characters, majority of them being from the DC Universe, have been “toned down”. Reason being to keep balance between both sides.

Femisapien female robot - On Sale

She will slow pose, be your back-up singer, dance with you and blow kisses. And it doesn't take a lifetime's commitment to get there.

WowWee's first female robot FemiSapien has been spotted for sale at Amazon, Target, and the company's online store for just $99.

The little robot can be programmed with a sequence of movements that can be up to 80 steps long.

The FemiSapien can communicate with and, not surprisingly, control other WowWee robots including the Robosapien.

And if you speak within 3 feet of her she will chat with you.

'The Kissing Robot' as she's also known is cute enough to almost fall in love with.

The USB Metal Game Pad

If you’re tired of having the same old boring controllers to go with your favorite games, you’ll like this new design. It features chrome and not just shiny plastic that looks like chrome. Granted that means that you’re stuck making fingerprints all over it every single time you pick it up. However, having a shiny controller like this might be worth the extra trouble it would cause.

The device is coming from China’s Dream Cheeky, which in the past have offered all kinds of USB gadgets. Right now there isn’t even the slightest hint as to where one might get one of these and when it would become available. However, it is listed on the Dream Cheeky website, which shows all of the details on the game pad. Well, besides the details we want most, which is where to get one. According to the site it is compatible with both the PC and Mac. It also features an 8-way directional game pad and is powered by USB with 6ft cables.

Using your old Nintendo Controllers with WII - DIY

wii_YXZwv_17839

It seems the ingenuity strikes again in the Wii arena. This time, Raphaël Assénat has come up with a way to connect old school Nintendo controllers to the modern day Wii. He was able to successfully connect the NES, SNES, N64 and Gamecube controllers to the current Nintendo system. Let’s face it, what’s the fun in playing retro games on the new controller. It would be so difficult having to re-learn your figuring techniques after all those years of playing your friends on the older controllers. Raphaël has created a fully detailed Do-It-Yourself documentation, showing all the steps needed to integrate the controller into the Wii. You can check out the guide here. It features detailed and clear instructions, as well as some videos to guide you along the transformation process.

Assénat came up with the idea to carry out this project when he found out that Nintendo included the option for backward control support.

Itunes Blocked in China

Access to Apple’s iTunes Web site has apparently been blocked by Internet providers in China, The Guardian of London reported. Since Monday, access to the site has been unavailable inside the country. The Art of Peace Foundation, a Tibetan activist group operating in the United States, had invited Olympic athletes to download a free compilation album, “Songs for Tibet.” According to a news release from the foundation, more than 40 athletes downloaded the album, which includes songs by Sting and Alanis Morissette. Following the album’s release, iTunes users in China found that the program’s software was not working. Beijing authorities have not commented, and a spokesman for Apple said the company was investigating the problem.

Cost Effective Vehicle

china-shanghai-car1 Most Cost Effective Vehicle Ever picture

In a local Shanghai suburb, one man has created what has to be one of the most cost effective automobiles ever.

The car has a very simple design, basically a bunch of wood scraps tied together with wire, four wheels, and a seat that can barely fit one person.

An open frame allows for a nice breeze, so an air conditioner is not required, and it even has a headlight.

No word on the gas mileage this things gets, but all in all the vehicle is pretty impressive.

9,000 Couples to Marry on Lucky 8/8/2008

mass-wedding01 9,000 Couples to Marry on Lucky 8/8/08 picture

The thousands of couples hope to also share in the blessing of the rare and lucky date, similar to the 7/7/07 marriage craze in the US.

“We want to show our support for the Olympics, a century-old dream for China, and take part in a major event,” says Liu Huiling, 24, an office assistant. “Who knows if we will ever see another Olympics?”

Before the couples are actually married they will be asked to sign a billboard stating the governments slogan: “A century of the Olympics; a century-long dream; a century-long prayer for happiness; a century of perfect marriage.”

Today was the first day that couples could register to be officially married on the 8th of August and around 1,000 couples have already registered.

The estimated 9,000 couple wedding record would more than double China’s previous single-day wedding record.

Recycled Bags which are Solar Powered

Although solar bags are nice since they charge up all of our little gadgets through the sun. Not all of them are made out of the greatest materials. It’s always nice to come across a solar bag that is all around good for the environment. As opposed to just having the solar element going for it. Well this line of bags from Sakku uses old sails for the material of the bag itself.

As of now this is only available in the UK, but they are currently working on getting these sold in the US as well. It doesn’t give an official date as to when this will happen, it just says coming soon. A cute little extra is that each bag comes with its own story. They are individually stamped with the name of the lake or sea in which the boat was located that they took the sail off of. The bags range in price from € 175- € 245 or $275-$385. Although keep in mind those may not be the official US prices once the new site is up. As of now that’s just a conversion of the UK prices.
