The last PS3 update had disappointed most fans by not including the much requested Voice Chat for XMB. Sony now plans to take it a step further and is going to introduce In-Game Video Chat. The chat’s difference from normal video chatting lies in the fact that you can chat with a friend who is currently playing the same game as you are. It is almost similar to BD-Live where you see your friends’ pictures on the screen and you can go ahead and initiate a chat with them. One can’t be too sure as to when this feature might come. Insiders speculate that it might be released along with a firmware update sometime by the end of 2008. Sony will have to please many disgruntled fans that have been waiting for the Voice Chat from a very long time, even before the last update.
